Semaglutide is not a fad nor diet. Semaglutide is the newest FDA-approved treatment for weight loss. This medication is a class of drugs known as GLP-1 (Glucagon-like peptide 1) and made its debut at Infuzed IV Hydration & Wellness in 2022.
We have combined high-quality Semaglutide with L-Carnitine. It creates a symbiotic relationship of weight loss mechanisms that help you shed pounds consistently. With none of the negative feelings often associated with strict dieting and overexertion at the gym, dramatic weight loss can be achieved and maintained.
Semaglutide is administered via subcutaneous injection. It mimics the hormone known as glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1), a substance that affects the areas of the brain that help regulate food intake and appetite. Semaglutide is offered at Infuzed IV Bar in DuBois Pennsylvania as part of a comprehensive weight loss program.
Because it is NOT a stimulant, Semaglutide is a good solution for those who may not be able to take stimulant-based appetite suppressants such as phentermine. Stimulants are often not prescribed for patients who have existing cardiovascular disease as they can complicate these conditions. Semaglutide can actually reduce the risk of a cardiovascular event while also causing weight loss.
Semaglutide can be prescribed for adults with a BMI of 30, or adults with a BMI of 27 and at least one weight-related co-morbidity (not including diabetes). Semaglutide is for patients who want to lose weight, especially patients with type 2 diabetes or whose weight puts them at risk of a serious cardiovascular event (like heart attack or stroke).
Semaglutide does have a variety of side effects for some, but minimal for most. Patients who continue the medication have reported an improvement in any side effects after four weeks.
Your initial consult with Dr. G can either be in person or telehealth via secure Zoom link to any Pennsylvania resident. It’s a good idea to have any labs on hand from within the last 3 months. If you do not have labs, Dr. G may write an order to get these for you.
If coming into Infuzed IV for your initial consult, please wear comfortable, form fitting clothes, so that you may receive your complimentary 3D Body Scan and measurements. Once approved for treament, you may choose to take injections home for self administration with training from our nurses or come in weekly for the nurses to administer them for you.
Most clients feel the effects of starting the medications immediately. Get educated on eating plans and importance of proper water intake, protein goals, and the do’s/don’ts of Semaglutide.
